Agilent
Hewlett-Packard’s semiconductor division, originally established in the 1960s, evolved over several decades before becoming part of Agilent Technologies as the Semiconductor Products Group in 1999. In December 2005, Agilent spun off this group, which was acquired by private equity firms KKR and Silver Lake Partners, forming Avago Technologies. Building on its HP legacy, Avago expanded into new markets with innovative products that helped transform global communications. Today, Avago Technologies supplies a broad range of analog, mixed-signal, and optoelectronic components and subsystems to manufacturers worldwide. Its products support four key markets: industrial and automotive, wired networking, wireless communications, and computer peripherals.
