Schroff GmbH is a German manufacturer of electronic packaging products. Schroff products include cabinets, housings, chassis and related components for multiple markets such as telecommunications, data centers and traffic management. The brand Schroff, which belongs to the business unit of nVent Technical Solutions, has been a world leader in electronics packaging for over five decades.In 1965 Schroff developed a subrack system for euro boards called “europac”, compatible with the European printed circuit board format and based on 19″ technology. The DIN standards authority, and then IEC, opened the doors to the world market for the “europac” system. It really entered the global market when the European board format standard was adopted by Japan and the USA. The 19″ standard became the “universal dimension” for electronics systems, thus making Gunther Schroff one of the pioneers of 19″ technology. Today Schroff engineers take an active part on the international standards committees to ensure that Schroff products continue to lead international standards.
