Fairchild Semiconductor

Fairchild SemiconductorFairchild Semiconductor offers power analog, power discrete, and non-power semiconductor solutions. Fairchild delivers an extensive product portfolio of power discretes, ICs and power modules, plus a complete offering of low, mid and high voltage products across the entire voltage spectrum which means more choices for your designs. Fairchild has a rich history as a pioneer in the semiconductor industry and that pioneering spirit endures today. In an era where diversity can dilute focus and hamper innovation, Fairchild specializes in the development and manufacturing of a complete portfolio of low- to high-power solutions for the mobile, industrial, cloud, automotive, lighting, and computing industries.

In 1957, Fairchild Semiconductor became the third company in Silicon Valley. Of course it wasn’t called Silicon Valley then, since the whole silicon industry was just starting to evolve. Fairchild was at the cutting edge, and created some of the innovative technologies that would push the entire field forward. Fairchild was the seedbed for a great industrial complex, as over the years many of the founders left to form other companies. Dubbed the “Fairchildren,” these defectors helped Silicon Valley grow into the semiconductor mecca it is today.

Addressing some of today’s most important challenges, from making the products Fairchild uses more energy efficient, to enabling the many features in our mobile devices, Fairchild Semiconductor is leveraging its leadership position in unique combinations of functional, process and packaging technologies to deliver power and mobile semiconductor solutions for a broad range of applications.

As of September 16, 2016, Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc. operates as a subsidiary of ON Semiconductor Corporation.
