Passive components maker Walsin Technology Corp. recently announced its acquisition of 85.84 percent of Japan-based Kamaya Electric Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Materials Corp. (MMC). The agreement also entails Walsin’s purchase of Kamaya’s tangible fixed assets and inventory of the ceramic disc capacitor business of MMC Electronics Taiwan Co. Ltd.
