How to Insert McMaster-Carr Components into Autodesk Fusion
To add McMaster-Carr components to your Fusion designs or assemblies:
- In the Design workspace, go to the Solid or Surface tab, then click Insert > Insert McMaster-Carr Component.
- Click OK in the dialog box to open the McMaster-Carr website within the active Fusion document.
- Browse for the desired component (e.g., a bolt). Components with technical drawings and 3D models will be indicated by a CAD icon.
- Click the part number of the selected component.
- Go to Product Detail, scroll down, and select a 3D format from the drop-down menu.
- Click Save to insert the component into your current design.
How to Edit McMaster-Carr Component Properties
You can only edit the part number, part name, and description in Fusion:
- Select the component in the browser.
- Right-click and choose Properties.
