PEM® Micro is a new product line specifically designed for modern electronic assemblies, including mobile phones, tablets, wearables, and similar devices. This range features self-clinching threaded inserts and pins for metal applications, surface mount nuts and standoffs for printed circuit board assembly, and threaded inserts for molding into plastics, with thread sizes down to M1 to accommodate the smallest assemblies.
The PEM® brand microPEM® fasteners are perfect for today’s and tomorrow’s compact electronics. PEM® microPEM self-clinching standoff fasteners from PennEngineering® enable efficient mounting and spacing of components in tight electronic assemblies, making them ideal for applications where attachment hardware space is limited. These stainless steel fasteners are easily installed into thin metal sheets by pressing them into pre-punched, properly sized mounting holes. Once installed, they become permanent fixtures and will not loosen or fall out. A mating screw is used to complete the component attachment.
