SKU: 780178-01 Category: Tag: Brand:

Description

With high-speed NI 9853 controller area network (CAN) modules for NI CompactRIO, you can achieve communication with devices at transfer rates up to 1 Mbit/s at 100 percent bus load. You can take advantage of the flexibility and performance of the CompactRIO platform to synchronize NI 9853 modules with any CompactRIO I/O modules to achieve CAN and data acquisition hardware synchronization with up to 25 ns resolution. With 11-bit and 29-bit arbitration ID support, NI 9853 modules can communicate on J1939 networks. Using NI-CAN 2.3 or later driver software, you can incorporate vector database files into your application.^
2-port, high-speed CAN module; Port 1 internally powered, Port 2 externally powered
Standard DE9M (DB9) male connector for each port
Philips SJA1000 CAN controller and Philips TJA1041 CAN transceiver
Hardware synchronization with any NI CompactRIO I/O module
ISO 11898 compliance for standard (11-bit) and extended (29-bit) arbitration IDs
Ability to transmit/receive 100 percent bus load at 1 Mbit/s

The NI cRIO-9074 integrated system combines a real-time processor and a reconfigurable field-programmable gate array (FPGA) within the same chassis for embedded machine control and monitoring applications. It integrates a 400 MHz industrial real-time processor with a 2M gate FPGA and has eight slots for NI C Series I/O modules. For rugged applications, the cRIO-9074 offers a -20 to 55 C operating temperature range along with a single 19 to 30 VDC power supply input range. This system features 128 MB of DRAM for embedded operation and 512 MB of nonvolatile memory for data logging.

The cRIO-9074 features two 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet ports that you can use to conduct programmatic communication over the network and built-in Web (HTTP) and file (FTP) servers as well as to add expansion and distributed I/O to the system. For instance, you can use one Ethernet port for network communication to a host PC or enterprise system and the other port for expansion I/O (easily connect another CompactRIO system or other Ethernet-based device for additional I/O).

Important Note: National Instruments recommends the NI cRIO-9067 controller over the cRIO-9074. This controller offers four times the performance at a similar price.
