Ametherm AS Series Inrush Current Limiters offers thermistor protection for precharge circuit on lithium ion batteries. With a lower current density and faster reset time there is no hot spots from fatigue, because of lower current density and uniform temperature gradient throughout the disc. The Ametherm AS Series provides inrush current protection for 250 to 1,000 joules of input energy and allows between 10 to 18 watts in the 10 to 50A SSI range, and up to 900 joules of energy. Ametherm Inrush Current Limiters are designed to protect your components from damaging levels of inrush current at startup.
Features
- Lower current density (as compared to traditional types of inrush current limiters)
- Faster reset time
- No hot spots from fatigue, because of lower current density and uniform temperature
- Wider temperature range of operation with out de-rating
- Rugged construction, long life
gradient throughout the disc
