Description
ERA2302402 – The electronic startup relay is used to switch off motor starting capacitors after a set time.
Application:
The electronic start-up relay is used wherever a starting capacitor is switched off after the motor has started up.
Single-phase motors
Three-phase motors on the single-phase network (Steinmetz circuit)
How it works:
The electronic startup relay switches off the motor starting capacitor without contact after an adjustable delay time. The delay time corresponds to the time from switching on the motor under rated load to ramping up to rated speed.
Advantages:
highest reliability through the use of wear-free components
compact design for mounting in the motor connection box
easier to install and set as a centrifugal switch
optimal motor torque by time-adjustable shutdown of the starting capacitor
complete suppression of sparking during switching as opposed to mechanical switches
higher switching currents
supply voltage 230 V AC 10%
switching current up to 24 A AC / opt. 40 A AC at max. Ambient temperature of + 80 C
Delay time until
Switch off the starting capacitor 0.25 s … 5 s 10%, infinitely adjustable. Operating voltages above the rated voltage and
Ambient temperatures above the operating temperature shift these times to smaller values.
Operating voltages below the rated voltage shift the times to larger values.
