The A28F5604S is a snap-in Snubber Film Capacitor is designed for use in power semiconductor circuits to protect the semiconductor by limiting the rate of voltage rise. The A28F5000X series dielectric system is polypropylene with foil electrodes. The RMS currents encountered in these circuits are usually low, however, the peak currents are very high. The “X” suffix denotes all film dielectric, which replaces the obsolete film/paper dielectric.
