Description
SGA-6489Z SIRENZA RF Amplifier IC Cellular, GSM, PCS, UMTS 0Hz ~ 3.5GHz SOT-89-3
The SGA6489Z is a high performance SiGe HBT MMIC Amplifier. A Darlington configuration featuring one-micron emitters provides high FT and excellent thermal performance. The heterojunction increases breakdown voltage and minimizes leakage current between junctions. Cancellation of emitter junction non-linearities results in higher suppression of intermodulation products. Only two DC-blocking capacitors, a bias resistor, and an optional RF choke are required for operation.

- Low Thermal Resistance Package
Sep 12, 2007: RFMD To Acquire Sirenza Microdevices
As of November 13, 2007, Sirenza Microdevices Inc. was acquired by RF Micro Devices Inc. (NasdaqNM:RFMD). Sirenza Microdevices, Inc. engages in the design and supply of radio frequency (RF) components for the commercial communications, consumer, aerospace and defense, and homeland security equipment markets worldwide. The company’s products receive and transmit voice and data signals in mobile wireless communications networks, and in other wireless and wireline applications. Its RF components are used in various applications, including mobile wireless infrastructure networks, wireless local area networks, fixed wireless networks, and broadband wireline applications. The company offers a line of products that range from single-function components to integrated circuits (ICs), and multi-chip modules (MCM). Its ICs include amplifier, low noise amplifier, power amplifier, receiver, transceiver, modulator, and demodulator products that are used in digital cordless telephones, personal handyphone systems, handsets, wireless speakers, cordless headsets, and other personal electronic appliances. The company’s MCM product line includes power amplifier modules, active antenna products, voltage controlled oscillators, phase-locked loops, coaxial resonator oscillators, active mixers, hybrid amplifiers, power doublers, and optical receivers, which are primarily used in cable television (CATV) and wireless infrastructure applications to generate and control RF signals. Sirenza also offers passive components, including splitters, couplers, mixers, transformers, isolators, and circulators. The company was founded in 1985 as Matrix Microassembly Corporation and changed its name to Stanford Microdevices, Inc. in 1997. It further changed its name to Sirenza Microdevices, Inc. in 2001. Sirenza is headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado.
