Amtek D-Sub Connectors
Amtek D-Sub Connectors feature back-entry solder cup wire terminals, providing the most secure electrical and mechanical bonding strength compared to other current technologies like crimp contacts. Amtek’s D-Sub connector portfolio includes both male (plug) and female (socket) variants, covering every industry-standard pin count, density, and layout used globally. This includes standard density D-Subminiature configurations such as 9-Pin DB9, 15-Pin DB15, 25-Pin DB25, 37-Pin DB37, and 50-Pin DB50, as well as high-density (HD) configurations like 15-Pin HD15, 26-Pin HD26, 44-Pin HD44, 62-Pin HD62, and 78-Pin HD78. The built-in solder cup terminals on the rear of the connector body provide superior installation flexibility, allowing for direct cable assembly construction or chassis installation with jumper wires routed to various locations on the electronic device. These connectors are identical to those used in off-the-shelf D-Sub cable assemblies, ensuring perfect compatibility when paired with any of pre-fabricated assemblies.
Amtek Earphone Jacks
Amtek manufactures a diverse range of 3.5mm headphone jacks, auxiliary (aux) connectors, and phono adapters. In addition to the standard 3.5mm aux connector, Amtek also offers a selection of 6.35mm (1/4″) jack adapters and connectors. The 1/8″ (3.5mm) version of this connector is commonly recognized as the plug on a pair of headphones. These connectors are available in three common sizes: 1/4″ (6.35mm), 1/8″ (3.5mm), and 2.5mm. The 1/4″ size is widely used in the professional audio and music industry, often found on electric guitars and amplifiers with tip-sleeve (TS) jacks. The 1/8″ tip-ring-sleeve (TRS) connector is commonly used for headphones or audio output on MP3 players and computers. Some cell phones use a 2.5mm tip-ring-ring-sleeve (TRRS) jack to connect headphones that include a microphone for hands-free communication.
