Greenconn’s portfolio of flat flexible cable (FFC) connectors includes a variety of high-density cable-to-board and cable-to-cable connectors designed for automated assembly. The receptacle housings not only mate with the pin housings but also with an array of printed circuit board (PCB) headers. Greenconn’s FFC products include the ZIF (zero insertion force) connector family.

Greenconn FPC/FFC connectors feature a vertical mount variant to complement the existing horizontal options within the 1.00mm FFC connector range. These connectors provide extremely competitive solutions with Gold Flash (standard) or Tin plating. They are commonly used in imaging equipment, instrumentation, medical devices, consumer electronics, and displays.

The FPC/FFC connectors offer high reliability with independent contacts and high FPC/FFC retention force with an FPC tab. They are ideal for automotive and other industrial devices used in harsh environments, meeting the severe test conditions of the automotive industry to ensure high reliability.

Flexible Flat Cable (FFC) connectors are ribbon like connectors, made of flexible plastic, polymers, films, or engineered rubber and have a metallic connector at the end, which is embedded in parallel to the base. On the other hand Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) includes printed or embedded circuits on the cable plane, which helps the cable to function as a flexible PCB. Amphenol offers multi-height vibration-proof flex connectors in 1.00mm and 0.50mm pitch sizes. The 2.54mm pitch FFC/FPC connectors are available in ZIP, Non ZIF, LIF and High speed versions.
