Historical Milestones

  • March 1994: Pentair Inc. completed the acquisition of the Schroff Group, Europe’s largest maker of electrical enclosures, for $150 million. This acquisition, announced on December 22, 1993, expanded Pentair’s capabilities in electrical enclosures for factory use.
  • April 2018: Pentair plc completed the separation of its Electrical business, forming nVent Electric plc. nVent began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on May 1, 2018, under the symbol “NVT.”
