Vitelec Electronics Ltd., part of Emerson Connectivity Solutions, is combining its operation with Midwest Microwave International Ltd., a supplier of low loss RF cable assemblies and microwave components. The merger follows Emerson’s recent acquisition of Midwest Microwave Inc. of Saline, MI, US, and Midwest Microwave International Ltd, based in Chelmsford, Essex, UK. It is a move intended to bring significant benefits to customers both in the UK and Europe.
May 2014: Bel Fuse Inc. announced it has eacquired the Emerson Network Power Connectivity Solutions (ECS) business of Emerson Inc. Emerson Network Power ECS is headquartered in Bannockburn, Ill., and has manufacturing facilities in North America, the UK and China. ECS is a leading provider of high performance RF/microwave and harsh environment optical connectors and assemblies for military, aerospace, wireless communications, data communications, broadcast, and industrial applications. ECS has a global sales footprint and a diverse customer base that includes some of the world’s largest manufacturers coupled with an extensive distribution network populated with today’s premier electronic distributors. The ECS division comprises the following brands: Stratos optical technologies, Johnson, Trompeter, Midwest Microwave, Semflex, Vitelec Electronics, AIM Electronics, and Cambridge Products.
The connector group has a number of international manufacturing sites including North and South America, Asia and North Africa. Vitelec’s European HQ based in Dudley, West Midlands, UK is involved design, manufacturing and testing of RF cable assemblies which are marketed alongside it’s range of coaxial interconnection products under the Emerson Network Power brand.
